Meeting Minutes - May 6, 2025

  1. Housing Matters - Mer Stafford and Tom Gill from Housing Matters gave a presentation to the guild.  Housing Matters is a nonprofit organization dedicated to housing individuals in need of assistance.  Eighteen quilts made by SBAMQG members were presented to the Housing Matters team.


  1. Retreat update/review - We thanked Leslie for all her hard work in heading up the retreat committee and making the retreat a huge success. There were  a variety of activities at the retreat.  Attendees made 15donation kennel quilts, which were presented to Libby at the meeting.


  1. The Improv Workshop with Claudia Shearer will be on June 14.  There are two spaces left.


  1. Gayne gave an informative demonstration on Kumihimo, a type of Japanese weaving.


  1. Sew and Tell - Merydith, Leslie, Ruth and Laura shared their quilts.
