Meeting Minutes - March 4, 2025

1. New members:  Denine Guy, Sue Fox

2. Membership- Lori announced that dues need to be paid by the end of the month or your membership will be dropped.

3. Jeannie volunteered to put binding on one donation quilt. 

4. Hanging quilts discussion- Anna uses a dowel and cup hooks. Karen uses command strips for small quilts, No See Um quilt hangers for large quilts, or a piece of wood screwed into the wall. Kathy uses a curtain rod with cup hooks, or a command hook drilled into the wall.

5. Quiltcon -We watched a video that Jennifer Sampou  produced showing Tara Faughnin’s quilts at Quiltcon. Lori and Darlene talked about their Quiltcon experiences. Karen mentioned that the Quiltcon app is available until 3/30.

6. PVQA  recap - Susan shared her favorite quilts from the PVQA show.

7. Quilty events  - Karen informed the group about the Pantone color of the year challenge and the Artichoke Festival quilt challenge. Sue announced the Quilt San Francisco show on March 28 and 29.

8. Retreat - Sign ups are ongoing and 21 members have already enrolled. There will be a masseuse, and there will be a swap table.

9. The Community Quilt came back from Quiltcon and we will discuss its disposition in the future.

10. Donation quilts - Vivian shared her Cowboy quilt, and Susan volunteered to put on the binding.

11. Sew and Tell - Pam, Vivian, Jean, Susan, Sara, Eileen, Susan, Beth, and  Karen all shared their quilts and Quilty projects. Sue Fox showed the 12 raffle quilts for Quilt San Francisco.
