Pat announced that new board members are needed for next year.
We need members to design and volunteer to work on the Quiltcon Community Quilt.
There will be a Library sew day on June 28, from 10:00 -1:00.
There will be a Sew day on July 12, at the First Congregational church in Soquel.
There will be a Donation quilt sew day on Thursday June 5 at 11:30 am at Pat’s house.
Ruth announced Quilty events.
The MAH has an AIDS quilt display.
The MQG is having a special challenge for next year’s Quiltcon and members can choose a pattern from 2016 to make a quilt .
The San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles is having an exhibit of two Bay Area weavers, Kei Sekimachi and Virginia Davis.
The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art has a retrospective on Ruth Asawa..
The Berkeley Art Museum is having a show on African American quilts.
Pat announced that we eeds help with set up and take down for the meetings.
Ruth gave us a demonstration on half rectangle triangles.
The La Selva Beach Holiday Fair will be in December. Pat will send out a survey to gauge interest in participating again this year.
STEM quilts - Marlene, Anna, Karen, Judy, Sara and Laura shared quilts made for the STEM event.
Pat suggested donating last year’s community quilt to Cliona from Happy Valley Conference Center, and her suggestion was well received by all members.
Sew and tell - Jean, Pam, Ruth, Karen and Laura shared quilts.
