Meeting Minutes - January 7, 2025

1. Pat introduced two guests, Brooke Lynch and Barbara Cuseo.  Welcome.

2. Quiltcon  - Laura discussed the upcoming show in Phoenix 

3. Donation quilts - Susan shared a donation quilt, and demonstrated how to make a  no-waste block.  The instructions will be on the website. Vivian and Eileen have learned how to use the quilting machine, and will be helping to quilt donation quilts for the guild.

4. Lori presented a demo on how to make rope bowls.

5. There was a drawing for membership renewal and the winners were Pam and Jen. Pam won a sewing machine service donated by Karen Gonzales and Jen won a beautiful quilt made by Pam.

6. Current events were presented by Ruth. The PVQA show and Quiltcon will be on the same weekend in February. There will be a Mickey Beebe retrospective at the PVQA show. Ruth provided a list of upcoming lectures.

7. Volunteering - Heidi announced that many members have generously volunteered to help the guild.

8. PVQA Basket - Laura announced that SBAMQG will be hosting a basket for the PVQA show and requested that members donate solid fat quarters.

9. Sew and Tell - Marnie,  Heidi, Leslie,  Gayne, Meredith, Jan, Marlyene and Laura shared quilts.
